Ok, so I’m a day late posting this, but I hope it will still be accepted!
The Scrapwest girls are celebrating creative bloggers this week so here’s my contribution.
My recent inspiration has been my new toy - my cuttlebug!

Provocraft have brought out some lovely new embossing folders and I love this one, ‘Stylised Flowers’.

Having cut a piece of card to roughly the same size as the folder, I’ve then put it through the machine.

I’ve then chalked the raised areas to make them stand out even more.

Then I doodled a flower in similar colours on a smaller piece of card(for instructions on how to do this, have a look at Eva’s tutorial)

Attach the embossed card to a pale green card (I’ve used a 5″ x 7″ card) and doodle a border round it

Attach sticky pads to the back of your doodled flower and attach it to the card, slightly overlapping the embossed card.

If you would like to be entered in to a draw to receive the finished card, please leave a comment on this post. I’ll do the draw on 7th September.
Thanks for looking…

Wowser - what a fab card! Really love your cuttlebug, glad you are having fun with it.

Hi Julie - love your card - it’s great the way all the inspiration from new toy, Elisa’s class, etc. combines to make something new and fresh like this!! Glad you’re enjoying the Cuttlebug - might put one on my Christmas list!! Julie M

Lovely, great idea to combine the doodling foreground and the embossed background. I’ve only seen the Cuttlebug in real life on some ATCs - it seems a very impressive range of embossing folders.
